Independent evaluations carried out by The MicroStar Lab revealed that WaterHog Silver curtails bacterial growth by over 99%. During these evaluations, swatches of the WaterHog Silver mat were placed in a sanitized container, introduced to bacteria—specifically Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus—and then incubated for a set duration. Post-incubation, the resultant bacterial colonies were counted to calculate the reduction percentage. The outcome of the WaterHog Silver evaluation was impressive, showing that more than 99% of the bacteria had been eliminated, leaving less than 1% behind.
